vegan sushi

vegan sushi has finally made it to Hawaii.

I'll add it my "Uniqlo Metric".  my list of metrics to determine the worth of a city:

1. does your city have a Uniqlo store?

2. does your city have  vegan sushi restaurant?

3. does your city have hipster bar with rope lamps?

is this is my spilled wine or my spilled blood?

considering how much I drank, they were the same thing by that point.

Indian dinner night but with quiche thrown in cuz I do what I want. 

in the post global warming apocalyptic wasteland, barter standards will dictate that one bacon & spinach quiche = one bottle of vanilla extract.

Trapeze was very fun, we nailed it on the first try. 

Polite dinner with the boss, then real dinner after running through a thunderstorm.

From the wrong side of the tracks to a hotel that offers all you can drink self serve free wine, beer and appetizerse every evening from 5pm to 7pm with a view over central park.  

This is a lifestyle I can get used to.

 

but first, some sight seeing until it was time to check into that fancy hotel with the free wine

Didn't really fix anything, but it felt good. 

We bought our tickets to Broadway's hit musical remake of BeetleJuice.  when we couldn't decide between Chicago or My Fair Lady, we flipped a coin for it, but then decided to watch beetlejuice instead.  good choice.  right choice. no regrets.  

my only regret was the 50 dollar drinks at the theatre.

After the show, dinner. A ridiculously delicious dinner at vegan restaurant, Ladybird.  Bao's have been ruined for us, and beet/avocado ceviches for that matter too:

 

 

somewhere along the way, magentic fields on the late night train drunk, "oh, those weird crazy new yorkers"

Modern Love Restaurant in Brooklyn. 

Not sure if i like modern vegan food more or modern mexican.... Now i'm really regretting that we didn't have time to go to the modern mexican vegan restaurant in the Lower East Side.
